Thinning of the bones is a possible side effect from high doses of steroid. This is normally done in the imaging or radiology department of your local hospital.
OCT scan or Optical Coherence Tomography scan is a quick easy scan with instant results which gives high resolution cross section images of the eye. Not every eye clinic has these scanners but they are becoming more common.
ERG testing or Electroretinography testing is used to detect abnormal function in your retina. It is a lengthy procedure and normally takes a couple hours to do. This is done in the Electrophysiology department of major hospitals.
